The Woman Bearing the Branch
The sign is one of a young woman with a branch in her right hand
and a ear of wheat (corn) in her left hand.
In Hebrew, this
sign is called "Bethulah" --a virgin.

word for "the son, or the branch,
who cometh."

In the ear of wheat is "Tsemech,"
which in Hebrew is "a branch." This word is used
exclusively for Christ five times
in the Bible, identifying Him as Man (Zech. 6:12),
Servant (Zech. 3:8), God
(Isaiah 4:2 ), and King (Jer. 23:5 and 33:15).

Near the woman's head is Zavijaveh, which means "gloriously beautiful" (Isaiah 4:2).

Subilon, in her right hand means
"spike of corn" (Isaiah 17:5).

"Therefore the
Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child
and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14).
"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and
hers;
he will crush your head, and you will strike his
heel" (Gen. 3:15).
In Luke
1:30, a young Jewish virgin is given this message by the angel Gabriel, "You will
be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will
give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of
Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." (See also Isaiah 7:14.)
