The Hebrew word for sign is "owth."

The constellations are "signs,"

a signal (literally or figuratively)

as a flag, beacon, monument,

omen, prodigy, evidence,

mark, miracle, ensign, token."

Owth is taken from the primitive Hebrew root word,

"Uwth: to come, assent, consent."
